Default XJR trans solenoids - can use generic 4L80E ones?

Limp mode comes and goes - getting codes P0753 and P0758, with a P1775 tossed in. Replaced the trans mount spring and foam isolator. New spring seemed *slightly* stouter (should have measured it vs OE...) Harness and pins *look* great, TCM unit and plug too. New Dex 4 fill up. Still regularly getting limp mode.

Figured I'd actually replace the solenoid called out in the codes. Question is will standard 4L80E A/B solenoids fit?

lso - looks like a Delco TF249 filter might fit. Can anyone confirm?

Many thanks.

Yes on the solenoids... and filter, too

While you're all drippy with ATF I'd consider replacing both speed sensors as well. Like the solenoids they're standard 4L80E pieces and often give trouble

If you get a filter kit a "generic" gasket won't fit as the Jag case is a bit different to those on GM vehicles. Your original one is probably better than an after-market one.

My XJR had the re-usable type gasket. As I recall (it's been a few years) the 249 filter is the filter only....no gasket provided.
