02 XJR CD players stops. Then it starts again.

Not skips. It just stops sometimes. Does the lens/laster just need to be cleaned? I know they can be found super cheap on e-bay if it comes down to having to replace it.

Could be anything from a cold solder joint, wire connection (probably a ground), cd unit itself... any number of things.

I had it rebuilt for $450. I know that's a lot, but it includes a 2 yr warranty.
