1997 jaguar xj6 vandean plas battery problem

The battery of my jaguar is 12.7 when turned off. After turning it on, it drops to 12 and dies after running it for a while. We have changed out the battery and checked the alternator twice and it is fine. I don't know what the problem is. Any ideas?

perhaps bad wiring between the battery and the alternator or some type of grounding problem?

If you have an XJ6 you should ask your question in this area
