1998 xj8 no start

1998 xj8 no start
Good Morning,
I have a 1998 XJ8 that was running perfectly until yesterday.
It started and ran poorly with low power.
Now today I have a P00506 Code, and it cranks but won't start.
Any ideas?

According to JTIS,
Idle rpm lower than expected due to possibly:
-Air intake blockage
-Accessory drive overload (defective / seized bearing)
-Throttle valve stuck closed
-Throttle assembly failure
I would also check for fuel pressure at the Schrader valve on the fuel injector rail.

Change The air filter; clean the throttle bore, carefully; check underneath the throttle body to make sure that all the vacuum lines are intact. Crank the engine to determine whether the bearings are seized on any of the assessory drive belts. Reset the CEL. Make sure all fittings from the air filtet to throttle are tight. Clean the MAF sensor.
