geodesics: There is no connection between the boot being open and the mast going up or down, that I know of. Is the motor working now? If so, then the plastic toothed cable inside of the arial is probably stripped. You can buy a new mast with cable pretty cheap on e-bay. Easy enough to replace. If you can't hear the motor now while in the trunk, with someone inside turning the radio on and off, then perhaps the wiring harness work did affect this. I've seen stranger things happen. If you pull the right side carpet panel, you can clearly see the wiring going into the Aerial. From there, you can follow it up and see if it got cut or disconnected during the other repairs.

Also, I believe Fuse #9 in the Trunk is for the Aerial. Maybe it got blown?

hopefully you can help me.....someone pulled the three wires out of the socket part of the plug that plugs into the aerial motor mechenism. i do not know which holes in the plug the wires go in, nor what order. many thanks
