Hello all, I have a 2000 XJR which has the Mercedes 722.6 transmission. It recently had a display message of "Transmission High Temp". It has happened twice now while it was 90+ out and the AC was on.
Does anyone have any ideas what could cause the transmission to get hot?
It has plenty of fluid and is not leaking, that I can see, though I have not crawled under the car to do a thorough inspection.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Driving cause the tranny to get hot. I would replace my fluid if I ever saw that as even Jag tranny fluid is cheaper than a new tranny. Seriously, once the fluid is cooked it is useless.
