The terms muffler and resonator seem to get used interchangably on JF without regard to internal construction.

The converters are beyond the right of the bottom picture near the bellhousing.

The box with two pipes in and out in the bottom picture is the muffler. Everything else is a resonator.

So its safe to say I have two resonators on each side? And could I get a note throaty sound out of the car if I delete the two far resonators?
Thanks!

It's not safe to generalise. Your throaty is someone else's boom box.

There are multiple threads in the X308 and X100 sections which detail the various modifications and the the results thereof.
