Hi,

None of the four heated seats are working in my 01 XJ8L. In our other cars, heated seats usually fail at high mileage on the driver's side, the seat that is used most frequently. And the failure is a simple break of the wire where it connects to the heating grid. In this case, with all four not working, maybe some part that all four share? A fuse? A relay? A module? As soon as I can find the fuse(s), I'll check there first!

Cigarette lighter is also not working. And this car only has the one! (The 01 VDP I drove all summer had two!)

Definitely something like a fuse or relay. Things like that don't all go out at the same time. If the cig lighter went out at the same time as the seats, it's probably a fuse, not a relay. A cig lighter wouldn't be on a circuit with a relay....lol.
