What about the side repeaters that we have to have here in Europe? Having clear front turn signal and side marker lenses would make the orange side repeater lenses stand out even more...

Hey everyone, still new to this site but I'm down for a complete set. While we wait for price and availability, I am researching molding them myself. I have worked with making fiberglass molds for years, and believe this will be an easy task. I have spare sets of front and side markers and will get started this weekend. I will keep everyone posted on my progress if you're interested. I'm only looking into making the clear lens, you will have to seperate your assembly an reinstall the clear lens yourself.

Let me know if interested and I will post results, with pics.

Still waiting on material cost. If I am successful......I will only charge for materials and shipping. It's more of a hobby for me and will be happy to pass on a good deal to the forum members. Like I said before, I'm venturing into new territory here, but somewhat confident I can do this.More to follow.

 

It's actually easy to make them with vacuum forming, just use mold cement in the lenses, let dry.. place plastic in oven and then vacuum it to the mold.

Need to use UV resistant and impact resistant material like Optix Acrylic Sheet's or Acrylite... in the correct thickness.

No problem, I'll be getting samples off to clearz if 20 show interest, I'll send both front and side markers.

If Cleric or Proto find time to fabricate them then there's another option too.

I'd like to keep the project an 'in-house' one for Forum members, if clearz keep the moulds then who's to say they get produced in the future?
