98 Xj8. Newcomer questions, cams etc

Hello All,

Just bought a nice XJ8
43,000 miles. Love it.

What to look out for? I will get the cam chain tensioners swapped.

Anything else?

I have a slight buzzing at tickover is that the camchains or something else?
(Goes away when i move off)

That does sound like the timing chain tensioners. 43k seems early for it to happen, but I wouldn't wait.

I got the tensioners replaced under (extended) warranty.
hoorah for a good dealer!
One was about to go.

I got water in the gas recently.
assuming it was a dodgy gas station.
careful out there.

Anyone got advice on suspension? How long it lasts...what to replace it with. How to tell if its gone soft.
