98 xjr hard to start when warm
Have a 98 xjr with approx 80 000 miles. Hard to start if you shut it off when warm. No error codes come up. Have cleaned throttle body, put in new plugs. Recently had new timing chain installed. Runs smooth once it starts. Does anyone have any ideas, mechanic thinks it is probably an electrical issue with a sensor somewhere, but so far can find nothing.
Check your crank position sensor---it could be starting to fail. 1100 ohms, I think its good---less the 800 time for a new one. Double check the testing criteria and give it a shot. Testing it is a good idea as a new one is about $170.--Good luck---Scott
