Driver's window stuck down; all other windows operate normally. When I push the driver's window switch, I can hear a relay click/close. Anyone have issues with these switches? Direction--switch contact, window motor fail, regulator bind?
It's the wife's car, so kudos if you can assist with the resolution!
try giving the car a hard reset... disconnect the negative terminal at the battery and use the negative cable to touch the positive terminal for a few minutes then reconnect negative terminal.. and try the switch..
It appears the front door module has a bad component. There are two large relays inside it that close/open when the window switches are actuated. The relay in question is near the J-1 connector on the module.
I just talked to the Jag *******--they want $429 for a new module. NOT!!! I'll figure out a work around. The relay has the following markings: "NEC EN2-F5RF-AA 8D4 27".
Not sure if they are the same, but they seem like they are in the right ballpark. This is the schematic & what it looks like overlaid on my seat module:
I may try to rebuild (clean) the relay. I'll try to post back if I figure anything out.
