Default ABS/Traction control warning.

Anyone had the above message appear on their dash? Mine appears when the car is in motion but if I turn the car off then re-start the light goes away. It has just started happening - might be a sensor prob?

Cheers

Steve

Also - anyone replaced their knock sensors???

There are alot of entries regarding the ABS problem you have. It could be something as simple as dirty sensors, which can be easily pulled, cleaned, and replaced. Mine ultimately required a rebuild of the abs cpu through a company on Ebay. Just search ABS and you will find several threads.

Steve:
Get the code read. Non OBD codes will record, but not turn on the CEL.

Default ABS light

Ross,

The light is currently on but there are no codes in the system. I recently changed the front brake pads so I might have a look at the sensor to see if it is dirty.
