JLR classic parts website really makes my brain hurt, way clunkier than something like realoem.

JLR site says the early AJ26 NA and supercharged TB are both C2A1740 and have the big fat cruise control sphere. I know some NA guys have 26 engines with 27 management and the cruise by wire system but this 11/98 Super V8 is all 26.

An AJ26 TB is C2A1470 It will work. I bought a used AJ26 NA TB and installed it on my 98’ XJR AJ26 SC and it worked fine.

What’s going on with your TB that you’re looking for another one?

 

intermittent restricted performance on the 2000 mile drive home, cleaning connectors did not help and P1226 pending.

brand new part is $300 and used ones are dirt cheap so might go that route.

 

Where do you get one that cheap from if you don’t mind me asking?

 

eBay, NOS with supposed “minor corrosion marks” and a 30 day warranty.

 

Oh, when you said new, I thought brand new OEM AJ26 TB.
