AJ27 Swap to AJ26 Shortblock

AJ26 and AJ27 heads have slight differences in valve and runners design.
If you use one AJ26 head and one AJ27 head you'll get the uneven LTFT on lh and rh banks and, possibly, slightly uneven engine work@idle.
Hmm.... I'll keep an eye on it and report back- if that is the case I have a head R&R in my future. That side is much less expensive to purchase, so only labor and a few gaskets.

The engine will run, but the LTFT on the AJ26headed bank will differ up to 4-7%,comparing to the opposite bank.

Final tally:
$761 includes gaskets, bolts, tools and fluids for the motor swap (does not include other serviceable wear items I had to replace)
A used 70K motor would have run somewhere in the 1800-3000 range so it definitely was a cost effective way to go and I would do it again.

Quick follow up on this (for those who may find it useful)
The trims are indeed off but only by about a 1.6% delta so not too bad. I passed emissions without issue and the car is running very well- I have now turned this into my daily driver. I would definitely NOT use an AJ26 head again though, it is not worth the $50 I saved- small things like a slight cam cover leak that I attribute to using n AJ27 gasket set, and just KNOWING that it is not the correct head is annoying. If I get frisky I may replace the AJ26 head in the future, but for now it runs smooth and so there is no pressure to do it. It also gives me great pleasure to know that everything was assembled correctly and runs as it should.
