Default Angel eyes lights

Has anyone managed to find and fit angel eye lights to a 2002 xj8 executive it occurs to me they would look very stylish on the old girl. If so could you please send me the details or photos if possible.
many thanks Mark

There was a bloke who'd done so on a FB group a couple of months ago, I can't remember which group though so it's not much help.

Can't say I liked it either, looked too German.

I appreciate that view but I remain to be convinced that it wouldn’t look cool on a trusty old Jaguar
Imagine this with angel eye lights

They were something BMW brought out on the later generation E39 5 Series and everyone went mad for them, so much so that BMW made it their signature look. BMW call them Icarus rings, but that is a protected term so copies are called angel eyes. When I attended the BMW academy when I worked for them there was a whole segment on this subject!

Personally I think they look stupid along with all DRL stuff. The X308 has those beautiful glass headlamps with that stylish deco fin, why would you want to rob the car of that signature look?

My personal opinion is that they really don't enhance the appearance of our
beloved Jaguars. My personal preference is the stock design and look,
however I know that many desire a "personal" touch that allows their Jaguar
to look "different".

I recently did it on my XK8 but by replacing the foglights which had been smashed. The fittings on my 2001 X308 are the same as the XK8 so, presuming that the 2001 and 2002 models are the same, this would work.

You can see the thread at: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...mps-uk-289651/

Cheers

I have the full custom one off build headlight. Angel eyes, all projector lenses, functional turn signal, RBG coloring changing via app.

Hi Vincent
I think that your car looks great with the angel eyes. I also have one in that colour. Could you please let me know which parts to buy to replicate that( look ) I think it really makes it stand out.

Make sure they are DOT approved or you can run into more of a problem than with a constable. Like if a stone kicks up and hits the lens and keeps going through it. That's one of the purposes of deflective lenses.

Here's the ones on Iron Maiden's drummers Jag... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/j...rummer-197878/

Here are the ones I will be putting in mine...
Amazon Amazon

Still in the box...

sorry. Mark...I really dont know. it was a one off custom build I paid (a lot more $$ than I should have ) a retrofit headlight guy to do it. I am reusing the original OEM housing/bracket.

so that is not a off the shelf aftermarket headlight from like eBay or Amazon

I agree too. The stock X308 is the nicest looking car ever put on pavement by any manufacturer, throughout all of history! Every line, every contour, the stance, and yes, even the headlights, all combine to make it the perfect looking car! That's a fact, not my opinion. Obviously OP has not seen Ken's thread featuring his red one, because that car is almost heart stopping gorgeous in appearance! THAT is what these cars should look like! Well, that or my black XJR. Haha
