Aslightly different situation with my tensioners
I currently own a 2000 XJ8, upon startup there always been a light ticking noise, one day i turned it on and their was a loud thumping, i took it to my mechanic and it was the secondary tensioners, i got them replaced but
i still get a light ticking everytime i turn it on in the morning, i changed to different oil brand (royal purple) and i still get it, performance of the car is great.

It is possibly one of the guides or even the lower tensioners. We sell a kit that does all the timing components. It's expensive and requires special tools, so some folks don't want to make the jump.
Is it possible that it is the injector solenoid? My S type R makes a ticking noise under the hood and the dealer tech pionted to a small solenoid at the fuel rail and thats where the ticking was coming from.
I hope its just the belt, it's very hard to figure it out because it would cost alot of money to dig in their and search a problem, could it be
the lifters clattering?

Maybe tappet noise? If it goes away, when the temperature gets warm enough, that may be it. I don't know how it should sound when the pri. tensioner goes, but when the sec. goes, the noise should last only for a few seconds at most (until oil pressure builds up). Tappet noise lasts until the engine gets warm (so valve parts warm up to decrease mechanical gaps). This engine does not have hydraulic lash adjuster, so it does tend to make tappet noise, I think.
Anyway, you should talk to someone who know the sounds...
