Default back seat removal and odor

How do you remove the rear seat on my 02 VDP? I see two screws but the heads look different-- I guess they are large star screws? I don't have anything to fit them so if you can help that would be great and I will go buy the tool I need.
2nd part and very important--I made the mistake of carrying home a kerosene heater in the car....I know not very bright. We were told it would not leak BUT good ole Murphy thought otherwise. I have found a very good baking soda mix from ARm and Hammer and that helped--actually worked pretty good and once I get the back seat out I will put some on the underside of the seat. I am open to other suggestions that make work and not hurt the leather nor discolor the leather.
Thank you in advance.
Bill

Yip, 2 torx screws under the kick cover below the seat come out first (you can get a torx set from Harbor freight for 10 bucks or so, don't forget you got electric lines to take off too! Upper seat attaches under the lower seat. 4 bolts or so to take off, it just slides up after removing the head rests and the brittle plastic seat belt trim pieces.

Bob, thanks. I should have been more specific when reading my post again. I just need to remove the bottom seat so do I just need to remove the torx screws to take out the bottom seat. Thank you again...the info on removing the upper part is also very helpful in case I need to do that a some point.

Undo the 2 Torx screws behind the heel panel fuse box covers.
Lift the bottom part of the backseat up on it's front side and take it out.
