Glad it worked out ... sometimes it just has to get done.
Regarding the battery:
At one point some years back Jaguar started to use one of the big battery companies for replacements -- I think it may have been Interstate.
They had a TSB or some other announcement regarding this -- said they did this for quicker service? I don't know if they put a Jaguar sticker on the battery or if they still do this.
The OE battery in the X300-308 was originally manufactured in Spain with a clear/white case ... Same battery that MB, Porsche and BMW uses. Very good battery.
I replace all of mine with the Bosch unit from Pep Boys. Bosch does not make batteries -- I forget if it is Johnson or Interstate. Often available for less than $100.00 -- years ago nobody made the correct case size.
