Default Boot/Trunk Lights Problem

Hello! Would anyone be able to tell me where the Switch is for the Boot Lights on a 2001 XJ Sovereign please, and how to get at it? Mine have stopped working and I've checked the relevent fuses and all is well there, so I suspect it could be a wiring/Switch problem. The Bulbs are working, as I checked them both, and can't seem to find the switch. Thanks Guys! Stu.

Wiring break at the boot lid hinge. Seek and yee shall find, it happens right there all the time.

Thanks for the tip, it was a broken wire. Funny thing was it had already happened before as a previous owner had fixed it but not very well! It shouldn't happen again, now that I've used some silicone engine hose over the wiring to protect it. Thanks Again! S.

Me too, me too !

I didn't even know I had trunk lights (as my wires had split also), but I do now !

That leaves me with 0 "to do" items for the XJR and 437 for the XJS. Thats progress :-)

SARC, sounds like it is time to start installing some upgrades. he he he he. I'm such a bad influence. I'm sure there is something that you could add to the car to make it even nicer. Nudge, nudge, nudge.

@Thermo

haha, I guess there's always something that could be done but currently having done the ipod and the bluetooth mods there's nothing burning needing doing on the XJR.

These days I spend all of my time (and money) on my XJS which my girlfriend has named "the mistress" as I spend more time in the garage than with her ! (She will admit though that cruising highway 1 on a Sunday afternoon in an open top V12 XJS is almost worth all the hassle)
