Would like to know?

Any known problems withHorespower increase affecting engine with the larger bottom pulley modification.

My mech says he feel it may be a reason my engine is having problems.

I have the 1999 Nikasil engine...too much HP increase a known problem..??

I figured not but....?

Anyone here know of adverse history with bottom pulley...especially on nikasil motors...??

Thanks in advance!!

How much boost over stock are you running?
Is the computer having issues adjusting for the increase of incoming air?
Maybe your oxygen sensors have expired and are not sending the computer the necessary info to process the incoming air.
4-5 lbs added with bottom pulley....oil is gettinginto air box and leaks apparent after two high speed runs to 120 mph...I did not think it would break that easy..am suspicious of extra power having a role..thus the question....engine supposedly was less that 40k miles...no history on engine available..bought from a salvage yard...

I suspect rings gave out...and or nikasil sleaves got messed up somehow...

will have a mech check sometime..car runs but I notice it smokes on and off and engine is going throughmore oil now...

sucks
