Just got a new headliner installed, and decided that i would like to remove the alarm system of my car for two reasons:
1. It looks a lot nicer
2. The car is parked in a private garage and when visiting friends, the only reason to lock the car are curious children
Now my problem: Already before i removed the interior alarm sensor, the alarm went of randomly without a comprehensible pattern what turned it on. (Already before the removal)
As the Jaguar dealers i have contacted do not work on the older cars and the independent mechanics do not have the tools to disable it, i would like to
bypass the alarm from a hardware side. As all the sensors are bypassed (atleast in my logic) the car will be fine, thinking everything is good.
Where are the different sensors located and how can they be bypassed?

I believe your concept is a bit too simple and your opening a box of worms. The door locking system is a basic break system located in each door actuator. If a window is smashed and the inside handle activated to open the door, the alarm responds. You also have the anti tow level indicator to deal with, the Park engagement switch and the security chip ignition module, ..which is the most sophisticated part of the alarm. An often unthought of area is the fuel filler cap which is lock engaged with the system and the trunk release latch.
I believe this also ties into the full up and full down lock/unlock system. Take your key and put it in the door lock cylinder with the door closed and turn and hold the key to the right. Doors should unlock and about a full second later do a full auto window down. Keep holding the key to complete window down. Turn and hold the key the other way to for the opposite.
Its a dormant system until engaged and is pretty much what your wanting right now.

Hi, thank you for your answer. Is there a simpler way of engaging the "dormant system"? (I am thinking about coming home on a rainy day, and then i would not want to open the windows fully.)
Is there a way of disabling the alarm via software at the dealer? I read about it on this forum but the dealers I have contacted deny that this exists.
I apparently wrote that part incorrectly, when I stated its a "dormant system"...I meant the alarm itself. The alarm does nothing until you activate it and even then, its a basic circuit break system.
The description of the key operation is a secondary key function to evacuate the interior on hot sunny days before getting in. I was using it as an example of what is tied to the security system.
As for a procedure to disengage the alarm, I myself have never heard of it for the Jag (did it on my work truck). Perhaps someone will come along with that knowledge. I know going to the dealer is futile, even if they knew, they most likely wouldn't do it. I have out of town work for the next couple of days. When I get back, I'll ask my Inde' about it, he is Jag Tech certified from England and has been over here working on them for about 20 yrs. He tends to know about such things.
So i guess, i will have to figure out what is causing the problem in the first place. I read a lot about bonnet latches and other common places, so i will check those.
