a/c compressor

I have a chance to buy an a/c compressor from 98 XJ8. The part numbers are the same, but does the air conditioning module from my 2000 XJR need to be reprogrammed? Is this doable? Thank you, Louis

The compressor itself is just a dumb compressor. The Climate Control Module would probably need to be a same part number if you are changing that too.
