Can I make this assumption?
HI everyone,
I've posted about an overheating problem with my 98 VDP and found some perhaps helpful advice on the XK8 forum. Don't the XJ and XK use the same engine for these generation cars, the AJ-V8? If so, are there any major differences under the engine bay? Can I assume that powertrain information I get on the XK page will be relatable to my XJ?

great, thanks very much for the reply. I guess my first course of action will be to replace the thermostat, as symptoms I found on the XK8 page pretty much match those of my VDP.
