Default Changing the transmission - does it fit

HI there,

My transmission seems to be damaged - and the mechanic recommended me to buy a good used one with low milage to insert instead. He offered me one for 2100$ and 6 months garantee (115.000km). Thatīs a lot of money so now I am trying to find one myself.

I have found one with with 200.000km for about 1000$ with 3 months of garantee. 210 270 7500 033228: GEARKAS A 722.613 A2 til Mercedes 210.217 (E290 Turbodiesel)

Only issue here is I am not 100% sure it will fit my Jag since I do not know if ALL 722.6 fits ? but does a 722-613 also fit.

The above one has a serial no: 722613 00 033228

and model no 722.613

Hope for quick help since I need to decide very fast.

Thank you all for so many good advises from good people on this forum.

best/Flemming

Tell us what car you have (model, year) and put it in your signature.

I assume an XJR... As he would otherwise be looking for a ZF 5HP24

There are differences between our 722.650 and the pure MB ones, as you can see: https://europeantransmissionscom.x-s...roductid=16304 . Also the main axle is most probably different.

Default XJR 308 4.0 s/c 1998

Hi and thanks for commenting.

My jag is a XJR 308 4.0 s/c 1998 - hopefully this will identify the model.

Now I have found out that my current transmission is a 722.650. Thanks for linking.

I almost bought an 722.613 (from a MB)but now I am in doubt if it fits. Someone told me that you I can unmount the the front housing from the old MB tran and replace it with my current front housing (sorry if this is not the correct term) to make it fit ?

does it have to be exact 722.650 or does other numbers also fit ?

Hopefully someone can guide me in the right direction and maybe even link to a placed where I can buy a used, but working trans. Dont mind if it has high milage as long as it works.

Thank you.
