Huh?
It would be the same place your plug a code reader in. Under the dash.

If this is optional, don't use it. What do you think they will do with all the information they will obtain (far more than the number of miles you have driven)?
If the insurance company wants to know how far you have driven since your last policy renewal, show them a current dated photo taken on your phone. That is what my insurance company asks for, and it is all that is needed.

They actually do this? Find another insurance company.

They give you a discount if you choose use it and meet their criteria.

How is my driving used to determine my Performance Rating discount?

The Performance Rating is calculated each term with 12 months of "rolling" data (six months on the first policy renewal) based on the following characteristics:
  • Safe speed (under 80 mph)
  • Braking (minimal abrupt stops)
  • Time of day (limited late-night trips)
  • Mileage (under 18,000 miles)

I get p!entry of discounts based on my driving record. I don't need to let them invade my privacy. Wait til you don't meet their criteria and they drop you for a hard brake.
You must have a shitty driving record or be like 18 or both.
No thanks but good luck with that.
