Default Cooper Zeon RS3-A in the winter?

My 99 XJR had brand new Cooper Zeon RS3-A tires on it when I bought it 5,000 miles ago. I've researched the tires over the weekend, and have found that they are an all-season tire. My question is, does anyone else have these tires on their Jag (or any other RWD vehicle, for that matter), and if so, how do they handle in the snow?

I can't afford to buy a winter beater, and the price of new snow tires starts at around $600, which is as expensive as buying a cheap winter beater. Can I drive on these tires this winter, or should I write my last will and testament before doing so?

Chad.

This looks to be a pretty capable tire.

Never tried them myself, but just did a little research on them.

I think these tires will work fine, especially with the siping.

My only concern is the XJR's ride height and the roads you will be driving on.

How deep is the snow that you deal with?

I have a feeling you will be doing a little snow plowing

M-37, the highway I drive to work, never has deep snow, although it is often quite slick. I live a quarter mile from M-37, and my road and the road that connects it to M-37 may be a problem at times. Oh well, I guess it's a valid excuse to play hooky once in a while...

Well, the roads were quite slick this morning, and I am happy to report that the Jag handled quite well. The ASC works great, as it kicked in and straightened the car out the one time that I tried to get the rear end loose. Although, I did get on the gas a bit too much in the S-curves in downtown Baldwin and I thought I was going to play pinball with more than a few light poles...
