Does anyone have a ballpark price on what the Jag dealer will charge for a full alignment and is it the best place to take my 2000 XJR?? Or a just a rip off??

Thanks guys,

Shaun

If its that bad, definitely take it to the dealer. Here in Ft Worth, $170. They do look at the rest of the suspension while under there, just for a courtesy.

I think mine charges $150.00 and around $50.00 to balance all the wheels. An independent could certainly do it but they do not all have the proper equipment.

The Jaguar dealers I have been to all have very sophisticated alignment setups as well as high end Hunter balance machines.

Default 1999 xj8 alignment with shims---dealer: $500

Is that way too high to replace shims on a 1999 xj8?

yes, that can be pretty pricey...i'd be more concerned that they do it right...having the jag well balanced and aligned is worth the cost only if it is done right...road force balancing of the tires is the best money i spent...but again you gotta make sure the person doing it does it right...
