Cylinder numbers on a 2001 xj8?
I'm confused. The Manual says: both bank A and B have the same numbers and go from 1234 (1 in the front engine). Does that mean bank B has cylinder 8 on the driver's side in the back of the engine?
Thanks for helping a newbie.

Jaguar changed the cylinder definitions between ' 98 and '02 When and why I do not know, but its there in the documentation. EDITED! The book shows front to back on the right side as (1)1, (1),2 (1)3, (1)4, then the left as (2) 1, 2(2) and so on. The (1) or two(2) becomes A or B in some designations. As test point pointed out, my original post was wrong and the correct post 2002 designation is odd numbers right side and even left, front to back.
