My wife and I are vacationing in the Shenandoah valley from May 7-11. Very excited about the trip, but truly dreading renting a miserable econobox for the week.

When we did a similar trip last year, I put a shout out to members of the BMW board, and one of the locals let me borrow his company car for the week. At the end of the week, I returned the car to long-term parking at the airport with a full tank and made his car payment for the month. I was thrilled, he was thrilled, and we didn't have to drive a Aveo.

Anyone interested? I can provide references, driving record, deposit, firstborn, etc...

Also, if anyone is coming to vacation in Central Texas, let me know and we can make arrangements for you to borrow a car from us.... turnabout is fair play!
