Does anyone have the procedure for removing and installing the whole drivetrain in a 2000 XJ8 VDP? My wifes cars transmission went at 135K and I had not done the timing chain yet so when I was able to get a 2002 engine and trans with 60K on it at a very reasonable price I took that route instead of rebuilding the trans. I have the procedure for R & R of the trans but wnated to know it its better to try and keep the whole thing in one piece ( dont even know if thats possible) or do it in two seperate procedures. If its not possible does any one have or can point me to the procedure for removing the engine. All help would be greatly appreciated as I am out of a job and have been for quite some time.
