Angry EWL

Recently I ran onto a rather high kerbside, and in pulling back off heard a scraping sound. Ewlight came on diagnostic plug seems to have stopped working, and driving uphill, I now get restricted performance notice. The RP notice does not seem to appear on flat or downhill. Any suggestions?

Have you inspected under the car for any damage? You may need to remove the front undertray to see if anything has been pushed or nudged, wiring, pulleys, coolers etc.

As for the OBD not working, have you tried another reader?

I suspect you may have damaged the engine ground. On the passenger side about a foot or so behind the whell there is a ground strap that runs from the engine the the chassis. If it is damaged you would not have the correct ground for the engine and the ECU would see misfires and go RP.
If the OBD connection is not working first try a different scanner. If that one doesn't work then look at a bad fuse supplying power to the OBD port.
