98-2001 XJ8. Ive heard it talked about here and other forums but havent actually seen anyone say EXACTLY where it is. I tried to do a quick search but didnt want to read a dozen posts in depth. Sorry if this is a repost just looking for a quick answer.

 

Right hand lower kick panel. There may be a cutout in the panel to get your finger in to push the button or it sits just at the top edge of the panel.

I thought of that! confuses me sometimes. Fortunately, right hand is still right hand no matter where the pedals end up.
