Default Fail Safe Engine Mode after parking car

I have gotten the Fail Safe Engine Mode in my display two or threetimes now right after I parkI'll run into the bank or CVS and get back in and the car won't start. I'll turn the ignition off and turn it back on and sometimes it will start right away sometimes after two or three tries. I am not getting a check engine light at and after the cars starts the Fail Safe Engine Mode disapears and it runs perfectly. I haven't hooked up the code reader yet because it only happend once before about three weeks ago and I thought is had something to do with the J shifter because after jiggling it in park the car started. Today it happened twice.I want to figure this out before it becomes a problem.
Thanks in advance!

Make sure the P is lit up. If not, and jiggling it makes it lite and the car then starts, it's probably just a microswitch adjustment, or one of several other possibilities. if you do a search on the subject, you'll find lots of info.

Thanks, The problem is definitely with the switch. Now I know that if I jiggle the shifter the light comes on and it starts right away. I pulled the trim piece and the J Shift assembly there are three or four switches. I can't see any real adjustment. I did a little work on it hoping it would change things but I still have to keep an eye out for the P to light up. Not a huge problem but I am hoping it doesn't get to the point it stops working altogether. Replacing the complete assembly I am sure is expensive. I can't seem to find any info about adjustments or just a part number for the switch alone.
