i'd be interested in quite a few items, although i wouldn't be able to purchase them all at once. wheels/tires, moonroof shades, the entire aluminum thermostat assembly, the front grill surround, and the working 6x9 subwoofer, just to name a few things off the top of my head.

Put together a spreadsheet on Excel and list the parts and what you think they are worth- that will give you a ballpark of the value. There is demand for parts in good working order if you are patient. I am parting one out and would be happy to send folks your way who need something I do not have!

I might be interested in the factory 18" wheels if they are in good shape. Also, the sway bars could be of use for me.

Having just bought a 1998 XJR, are there any parts worth keeping 'just in case'? I guess anything that is prone to regular failure would qualify, but in the research I've done I haven't really read of any (except for things like thermostats, which would be better to buy new).

Thanks!

Fuel Pump comes to mind, but that might be a "buy new" item as well..

I might be interested in the interior wood, the CD changer, and depending on the colors some exterior and interior trim pieces.

I think a spreadsheet might be a good way to go. You could choose one of the regular suppliers and offer for a set fraction of new list. The problem will be pieces not listed on the suppliers site.

I think you will be able to get rid of most of the car. Anything that works will find a buyer that does not necessarily need new parts or a tight on cash.

I think I am going to turn this into a PART-OUT thread and I think ill be parting it out. I just need some high dollar parts first to make sure its worth it, I see someone wants the supercharger which is LIKE-NEW, rebuilt 2 yrs ago as well as the fuel pumps, also close to new. The car is a 1998 XJR Black/Black

I am one of the people who bought parts off this car. I drove 5 hours round-trip, and it was worth it. I just wanted to give everyone else a heads up... if you are looking for parts, the body on this one is in GREAT shape. I don't think you would be dissapointed!
