Ok Jagsters when I got home yesterday I stuck my key in my door to let the windows up and to close the sunroof.... Well today on my way to work I tried to let the window down and just heard a single clicking sound from the door, so I proceeded to open the SR and it remained open for about a min then automatically closed..... Any ideas?????

 

Have you removed the door handle recently and messed with the Key Cylinder? If not it sounds like a bad switch or linkage in the door.

Before you do the deep dive in the door try the "hard boot". If it's just a logic problem in the controller that will solve the problem.

 

No i havent done anything to the door lock or anything of that nature.... How do i go about performing a "hard boot"?

I will definitely try this. My windshield wipers and sunroof stopped working, and the mechanic reset the computer connection to the wipers and they were fine. But, they are trying to charge me $1,500 to fix the Sunroof driver linkage mechanism, including $900 in parts. In case I really need the parts, can somebody please recommend a source where I can get the sunroof driver linkage mechanism for less than $450 per side?? Thanks!

 

I have the same problem, except my wipers still work fine. Do the hard reset, that temporarily fixes the problem for me, could be permanent for you hopefully. Don't pay the 1500 that's ridiculous. From my trouble-shooting its an electrical fault, like a short somewhere that I haven't been able to detect yet. Do the hard reset before anything and see if that fixes things!
