Default Fuel Filter

Hello all,
tried to replace fuel filter 02 VDP x308 gas came pouring out of connection left side.
Placed a pan underneath the flow waited several min. but it would not stop.
confused.
Battery was disconnected. Help!

Default fast swap...

People say pull the fuse for the pump and run the car until it dies to keep this from happening. It may just be a syphoning sort of thing as I pulled the fuse and still had fuel spillage. I did the swap as quickly as I could and tried to collect as much fuels as possible before it soaked into my blacktop. Messy job for sure...
