Good XJR find?
I test drove this car 3 months ago and offered the guy $10,000 for it, he declined because he was asking $11,500 at the time. It's a beautiful car! I guess it's possible it's developed a problem that lead to a drastic decrease in price, but it's also possible he's just wishing he'd taken my offer.
I ended up buying an XJR shortly after that so I'm not in the market. If I were I'd probably take the day off tomorrow and go buy it. Just thought I'd share...

I think it might be more that he's being realistic in the market value of them. Yes it's in great condition, or appears to be. But it is also hitting the 100k mark, and while they stated that it's been maintained properly, who's to say of there's some big ticket refresh items they don't want to tackle if they come up. 3 months ago at $10k, he should've taken that and been very happy. I (over)paid $9k for mine with similar mileage 2 1/2 years ago and in weaker condition than that one, and with standard Asteroids.

I bought an XJR100 not far from where this car is located. I had recently purchased an XKR100 and didn't think I could find another place to put another car. The XJR100 was listed on Autotrader for a while at $12K. Then it slid down to craigslist. My wife convinced me to go take a look and it was an outstanding example. I made a lowball offer and the owner accepted it. Most people are afraid of these cars so the market is limited. My experience has been positive. So far there have been no issues with this XJR though it has 115K on it.
