Had a hose coming out of the back of the block on the passenger side come off last night. it plugs in and they there is a piece that is supposed to slide to lock in place but piece is not sliding was kinda dark and working with no tools and cell phone as flashlight going back to reevaluate today and suggestions.

 

Never heard of that before. The problem with that Norma connector is usually that it cannot be disconnected without breaking the plastic. It just snaps together like a garden hose quick connect.

What is the history of the car? Could a previous owner tried to disconnect it to fix a leak and left it unrepaired?
