Default Heating elements in seats

I have a 2000 Jaguar XJ8 and there are no buttons for heated seats. My question is, are there heating elements already in the seats? I had a landrover that had the elements in the seats and all I had to do was purchase the buttons and the faceplate and I had heated seats. Thanks in advance for your imput.

Shaggy, first off, see if you have relay SD14 installed in your car. That is the relay that powers the driver's seat heater. Secondly, look under the seat and see if you have 5 or six plugs that are attached to the seat. 5 of the plugs should have 5 wires in each. But, you will find 1 plug with 2 wires. The 2 wire plug is for the heated seats.

If you happen to have this plug and want to wire up the heating elements, then let me know and I can help you out there.
