Help!! X308 leaking fuel excessively
Hey all as the title says, my XJ8 is absolutely leaking fuel, it appears to be coming from a fuel line, what the hell do I do??! I can't even reach the line to cover it with something. I have $80 worth of fuel in there and the mechanic will not be open until tomorrow. I cannot keep the car leaking on the street!!
Heres a link to a video that shows how bad the leak is.

You’ll have to jack up the rear of the car and use jack stands. Crawl under the car with a flashlight and find out where it’s leaking from. If I had to guess, I’m going to say somebody foolishly pulled the tank out without disconnecting the lines from the bottom of the tank first so the lines got damaged.

That's what I thought too, but I only filled half the tank, unless thats somehow too much fuel too..
What work was done to your car yesterday (or earlier this week)?
I would be very surprised if that was the original fuel pump after 23 years. If it is the original fuel pump, you may want to have it replaced sooner than later.

yes it is, hasnt been replaced by me or the previous two owners(according to their records). the only two things that were worked on the car this week was replaced an oxygen sensor and my mechanic inspected the rear left suspension because it was making a knocking noise. But he didn't actually swap anything out. I don't see why the mechanic would go anywhere near the fuel lines.
