This car is hideous. Hideous aftermarket rims and hideous interior. The quality of the interior work is impressive despite the poor taste. I do like those chrome gauge rings which are extremely overpriced at around $180.

Hate it.

HOWEVER- this is a very unique car and for the right buyer it would be a dream come true.
(Hint: the buyer will have alligator shoes and wallet)

Whats happened to the engine covers ? I wouldn't be surprised if these were remade out of croc skin and caught fire shortly after installation....
Bad taste aside, and each to their own etc, but whoever did the trim has made a fantastic job of it, must have cost a few bucks too.
I could almost own one of these if I could live in sunny FL instead of the excuse for a climate we have in the UK.
I did say "almost"........

Someone spent some serious money on the "re-skinning" of the vehicle shame they had such bad taste, but it's looks very well done.

Gator hide
Good chance it's one of those rich-for-now professional athletes trying to sell this gaudy thing. I wonder how that gator hide feels after a few hours behind the wheel.

Questionable taste.

However some seriously good craftsmanship gone into the upholstery work.

Wow, what a hideous interior...

There's a guy in the UK who sell those on ebay.co.uk for £30 (£50 for a full set, instrument clock and switches).

(Not affiliated, I bought a set from him.)

I got a set of those, they're not chrome but polished alloy. The chrome ones I think are here...

by the way, the interior is an exercise in trimming an XJ8 it can be done, however the replacement is a particular taste as are the wheels. The interior can be swapped out and worthwhile because of the miles if genuine.

Ah, right. Well, I'll live with having polished alloy if it saves me £90... It's a Jag, not an Aston.

. . . and it sold for US$8,000. That is a comment in itself.

If the car had an all alligator skin interior, it belonged to a upscale NY based shoe designer. There were a few writeups about it. There was even a picture of the owner stepping out of the car with shoes matching the interior.

I.... don't hate it as much as I could. The wheels are an easy fix. The gator skin, in the color they chose, actually matches the burl very well, and the work looks to be of good quality. And beyond that, it's a very clean VDP that sold for a very attractive price. The interior and wheels definitely wouldn't have been my choice, but it looks like they got someone a very clean car for a very good price.

I figured someone came home late at night to find a gator found it's way through the dog door. And, unfortunately for the Gator, it was a Concealed Carry Home Owner.

I think that's John Fluevog you're thinking about.

This is NOT something I would do to my VDP (same color), but if I was on the market, and I saw this for 8K (with 45K on the clock), I'd be all over it. Interior was VERY NICELY executed, and all I hope it was the real gator skin (not vinyl).

I'd buy it, and have a conversation piece. I bought the whole "new" interior for $500, so how easy it would be to replace it, and keep the gator seats just for kicks? Very easy.

And as far as "barfing"? Different strokes for different folks. I could live with the gator just fine.
