Default How to reset Avg MPG history? - RESOLVED

I've been working on solving a few issues with my XJ8. While installing and tuning the new stereo system I had it running at idle for about a hour in my driveway and it completely screwed up my avg MPG reading. I'd like to reset it but can't find anything in the owners manual. Now before you suggest I just pull the power for a couple hours and reset the computer I'm trying to build up miles on the car because it failed the smog test due to lack of data history. California sucks BTW. Anyway, I can't completely clear the computer for another week or two until I pass smog.

Thanks

Is it the Trip Computer you want to clear?

If so, see the 'resetting' section in the second column.

Oh I see now...... the Avg MPG is tied in with Trip A/B. You are 100% right, resetting the trips cleared the AVG MPG. I knew how to clear the trip but I had no idea the two were tied together. Thank you so much.
