Anywhere within reason. I may need tensioners on mine at some point(81k miles)...and don't want to get raked over the coals. Any input would be appreciated!


As a side note, I don't hear what everyone else has heard on their tensioners on a cold start, however when it is cold, ever since I have owned it(43k miles and serviced regularly) I hear a knocking'ish sound of noise that is more noticeable once I place it in drive and goes away once she warms up. Im thinking piston slap?

Remove your accessory belt and see if it still knocks.
