I’ve seen this (not in person) and thought it was quite well done and quite successful. Apparently the backstory is that a tree fell on the back of the car and that’s what instigated this. It’s an interesting way to have kept it on the road rather than having it parted out and crushed.

It's the 2nd time in recent days that the topic "Jag UTE" has been brought up here. The link in this thread here suggests that this Jag might possibly be the only Jag Ute in the world. Well, it is definitely not: I just want to say that this idea is not new. About 20 years ago I saw a project-car here in the small rural town in Australia: A Jag-UTE of an older model XJ8.
A bloke, who collects each and everything, including cars, welded it up. However, he never completed the project and a few years ago he told me that he sold it on to someone else, who wanted to finish the project...

I just know that I will never build one, as I don't see the point in UTEs in general. They were developed decades ago as solution for the pickle of a farmer: He needed a car for the farm (to move pigs around, etc.), but which can also be used to drive to church on Sundays - and the UTE was born. Well, whoever buys UTEs these days is probably not falling in this category, and as such I don't understand "UTEs" at all...
