XJ8 2001. I have had this problem for about 36 months, spent quite a bit at the dealer. It is an intermittent problem. I try to start it and there is no crank, no sound, the lights come on but that's it. The shop can't seem to find the problem after bringing it in about 4 times now.
They thought it was the battery, then they changed the ignition coil, the diagnosis test just isn't coming up with anything. When it doesn't start, I just keep trying and take 4-5 minute breaks and try again then it starts. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
