Jaguar OBDII Codes (Help)
I own a 80k 00' Jaguar VDP, these past couple days my CEL is on it is spitting out the codes P0442 and P1111.
From this website (http://www.jaguar-online-club.de/obd...t_codes.0.html) these codes are :: P1111 Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent High Voltage// P0442 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)
Can you guys advise me on how to solve this problem?? The car developed a thermostat housing leak (the common plastic breaking 1 week ago) I havent got to changing to an aluminum housing. Can this be the problem? Couple miles late on an oil change also. Other then that my car is running perfectly fine (I believe)
Thanks in advance

stran, as for the P1111 code, do a once over of the wiring going to the air intake temp sensor. Check for any kinks or signs of damage to the wiring. Fix any sort of damage. After that, replace the temp sensor. That should fix your issue. If this doesn't, then let me know and we can take things further.
As for the P0442 code, first start with checking the gas cap for any sort of damage. This is normally the problem. After that, it will require getting under the car and doing a once over of all the tubing. You are looking for any signs of cracks in the tubing. Look at everything coming off of the gas tank and from the evaporative canister. If in doubt, replace the associated tubing. After that, you are looking at a problem with the vacuum solenoid on the evap canister.
When you start the car, it draws a slight vacuum on this system to help draw any excess fuel fumes to the evap canister. From here, they will then get sucked into the engine to be burnt. If no vacuum can be drawn, it throws this code.

Guys:
JTIS and Jag-lovers both (and my recollection) all say code P1111 is OBD drive cycle passed, not the temperature sensor. Maybe the German spec cars have different codes? I sure didn't know that.
