Default Jaguar Service Recommendation Yorktown, VA

Hi, does anyone know of a good local shop I can trust to have my '01 XJR serviced properly in the Newport News / Yorktown Virginia area?

Looking for a competent local shop that can do the regular sevice, inspection and maintenance intervals.

The nearest Jaguar Dealerships to me are in VA Beach (50 miles away) and Richmond (50 milles away).

Thanks,

Ray

haven't used either of these facilities personally but I know a guy that takes his XK8 here for everything:

and since this is a german car specialist they should be good with our benz transmissions in our XJRs, I plan to take my XJR there within the next few months for a transmission flush

Thumbs up Thanks!

Thanks!

Both are a lot closer for me.

Eurocars in Williamsburg is about 15 miles from my office. I pass Auto Haus on RT 17 evertime I go to/from the airport. They had a XJ8 out front the last time I drove by.

I am coming up on 60K now. General info recommends 100K for the transmission service, but I swear by earlier intervals.

Good to know there is another XRJ in the neighbor hood.

Ray, there's another in Williamsburg www.americanprideautomotive.com/home I know the name doesn't ring quite right with the Jag but I've been told they have brought someone in that is capable of working on them. I think you'll find Autohaus kind of outrageous I know someone who used to work for them. I do all my own work mainly. But I might try these guy's for an alignment.

I'm almost up to 67,000 on my XJR, I agree you can't go wrong with early service intervals especially on transmissions. American pride is right there on 17, looks like a legitimate place, and their rates are probably more reasonable than the autohaus.

Default Service in the Area

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the feedback and the options.

I hate to blindly be looking at the phone book and guessing.

This is a great forum.

Best,

Ray
