hi Folks,

can anyone recommend where they take there Jag for oil service etc... My first oil change and am feeling some anxiety about taking it in. I should probably learn how to do it myself, but i am not very mechanically adept, nor to I have the setup to do anything other then rotate the tires.

I had heard that the Cat's Cradle on Royal York Rd., was well regarded, so I took mine in for pads all around, oil, filter lube, and was well pleased with the service.
No connection etc.

Yes, no problem, just a chipped windscreen in Quebec, these automobiles were designed for long distant travel in the day.

New owner of a 2003 XJ8 Sovereign (x308) from York Region here (Markham). Bought her in Dec. 2020, 97K. I was searching the forums for a Jag mechanic in the GTA and found this thread. I did end up going to an indy mechanic, The Jag Doctor on 189 Raleigh Ave, Toronto (Kennedy & Danforth area). Fritzy was great, he did a thorough inspection from boot to bonnet and showed me a couple of things I would need to get done in the future. but they weren't urgent. He did fix my initial problems, she's running very smooth now. Very knowledgeable guy, excellent service, a true specialist. I would definitely us him again.

In case anyone is looking down the line: Birkshire Automobiles, 905-731-1299, Birkshiremotors@rogers.com. 73 Green Lane, Thornhill. Sam and his team did a great job, as i was in from out of town, they were able to get me in during my visit and also to turn around the car really quickly (it need a standard service but also a new battery that they ran down in record time!). Recommend if you are GTA and want to have someone looking after your cat!
