Jaguars unwanted?
Hey there,
I got this beautiful XJR from the Auction for rather cheap. I found out however that they changed the engine with the non-supercharged engine so its basically an XJ8 in an XJR suit.
Anyways, my question is, how come no one really wants to buy a Jaguar? To be honest for me it's getting a bit too expensive with the gas prices going up so I'm trying to sell it. Getting 15 mpg in city driving or even less. I'm not sure if it's normal but if I put it on instant mpg it sometimes even drops to .8 mpg, meaning 1.2 gallons a mile.
I feel bad selling it though, its kind of a love/hate relation

It's more likely that the car was a XJ8 rebadged as a XJR.
The clues are the grille, exhaust tips and wheels.
The steering wheel center pad on a genuine XJR will be embossed with "XJR".

Ah darn it, they did do a great job though, the steering wheel is embossed with the XJR letters. I just hoped I atleast had the XJR breaks lol or whatever else it has minus the engine
I drive about 25 miles to work each day (of course, that's 50 miles round trip!). I average 20-22 miles per gallon at an average 39 miles per hour. I don't think that's so bad!
BTW If you decide to sell the XJ, you should advertise it as a re-badged XJ8 not an XJR. good luck on the sale.
